Serial histoplasma complement fixation

A test to determine the presence of antibodies to the fungus Histoplasma by a specific serologic technique called complement fixation. This test can be repeated at a later time (often about 4 weeks later). If a patient has an active infection, the antibodies should increase over that time period. This is often called a "rise in the titer" of "paired serologies".
